In the spirit of sharing more about what I’m truly journaling in real-time, I wanted to show a personal vision spread that I recently created.
I’m calling it “my Summer Arc.” 🌞
You might have heard this phrase, Arc, last fall when everyone on social media was talking about their “Winter Arc” plans. (And by “everyone,” I mean all the fitness influencers out there valiantly trying to set people up for success over the holiday/winter season.)
Basically, the “Arc” is just a seasonal period (~6 months), and the trend is to set intentions for that time.
In this spirit, I sat down last week and put together a fun digital vision spread that captures my heart for the spring/summer months ahead.
The video above is a look into what my Summer Arc includes:
Family Time: My husband and I recently adopted a dog (hooray!), and I want to make her first few months with us as wonderful as possible. I envision warm summer days in the park, soaking up joy and togetherness.
Creative Ventures: Surprising to no one, I’ve dedicated multiple images and notes within my Arc to inspire regular creativity. I’m challenging myself to do more and consume less.
Health and Wellness: Of course, I also included a small square for my warm-weather health goals, which actually aren’t much different than my cold-weather goals—but perhaps more relaxed.
From Paper to Digital
I mentioned recently that I’ve been experimenting with GoodNotes as a way to replicate my favorite parts of paper journaling.
One key element that I wanted to unlock was how to create my “peek-a-boo windows” in the program. This spread shows my work-in-progress.
You can see in the video that I can reveal notes hidden beneath photos—blending the fun of a vision board with my favorite note-taking bonus. This method not only gives me the playful layout I love but also allows me to embed deeper context for my vision, which is crucial for making it meaningful to me.
I’m thrilled with how it turned out and might even recreate it in my paper journal to commemorate these plans.
Try It Yourself!
Why not create your own “Summer Arc” vision for the next six months? Whether you use a poster board, a digital tablet, or a bullet journal, the format doesn’t matter as much as the act of sitting down to reflect on what you want to focus on. Think fun, summery, and joyful—no heavy lifting required!
I’d love to see what you come up with! If you decide to give it a try, please share your creations with me. It’s always inspiring to see the unique ways you all bring your visions to life.
Coming next: my “do the reps” challenge and May’s page reveal.
Talk soon!
